2. Object and scope of application

These General Conditions regulate the access, navigation and use of the website www.ljschichikan.com, as well as the contracting of the services of accommodation, gastronomy, spa, experiences and activities offered by LJS Chichikán, both through the reservation engine (bookings.ljschichikan.com) as in person at the establishment.

Access to the website and/or making a reservation implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If the user does not agree with any of the points established here, he must refrain from using the site or making a reservation.

3. RESERVATION PROCESS

Reservations can be made through the official reservation engine available on the website, by phone or by email. The online booking process consists of the following steps:

• Selection of entry and departure dates, number of guests and type of accommodation.
• Review of the reservation summary, including fee, applicable conditions and services included.
• Entering personal and payment data.
• Confirmation of the reservation by sending an email to the guest.

The reservation will be deemed formalized only when the guest has received written confirmation from LJS Chichikán. Such confirmation will include the reservation number, the dates, the type of accommodation and the applicable cancellation conditions.

4. Fees and payments

The rates published on the website are expressed in Mexican pesos (MXN) or US dollars (USD), as indicated in each case, and include the applicable taxes in accordance with current legislation, unless otherwise specified.

Guests who book directly through the official website of LJS Chichikán will be guaranteed the best price available, without intermediary commissions.

Payments will be processed through the OpenPay gateway. LJS Chichikán does not store bank card data on its own systems; All payment information is securely managed by OpenPay in accordance with PCI DSS standards.

The accepted forms of payment are those enabled by the OpenPay gateway at the time of booking, and include credit and debit cards from the main networks (Visa, MasterCard and American Express), as well as other methods that may be available on the platform.

LJS Chichikán reserves the right to request a guarantee of payment by credit card at the time of the reservation, which will only be authorized (not collected) until the moment of check-in, except in cases of prepayment or non-refundable fees.

Additional services consumed during the stay (spa, restaurant, experiences, etc.) will be billed at the time of check-out, unless they have been contracted and paid in advance.

5. Cancellation and modification policy

Modifications, cancellations and refunds will be subject to the current policy applicable to the contracted rate or promotion.

Non-refundable rates will not generate a refund in case of cancellation, early departure or non-submission.

In special seasons, vacation bridges or high-demand dates, particular conditions may apply.

6. Check-in and check-out policy

• Check-in: Starting at 3:00 p.m.
• Check-out: Before 12:00 p.m.

Early check-in (before 3:00 p.m.) and late check-out (after 12:00 h) are subject to availability and may carry an additional charge. Check in advance upon arrival.

At the time of the check-in, the guest must present a current official identity document (passport, INE, identity card or equivalent) and the credit or debit card used to guarantee the reservation.

7. Rules of use and behavior in the establishment

LJS Chichikán is a space of nature, well-being and disconnection. To ensure the experience of all guests and preserve the environment, the following rules are established:

• It is requested to remain silent in rest areas and natural areas, especially at night (22:00 – 8:00 hours).
• Access to certain areas of the farm (jungle, restricted areas) is limited and must always be done with the accompaniment or authorization of the establishment's staff.
• Pets are not allowed, unless expressly authorized by the establishment.
• LJS Chichikán is a smoke-free space in its interior facilities. Outside areas designated for smokers will be enabled.
• The use of the facilities (spa, swimming pool, Xuux restaurant) will be subject to the specific schedules and regulations of each service.
• Children under 18 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. Some services and experiences may not be available to minors.
• It is prohibited to introduce food, beverages or substances not allowed by current regulations into the establishment.

8. Guest Responsibility

The guest will be responsible for the damages or deteriorations caused to the accommodation, facilities or equipment of the establishment, whether due to misuse, negligence or inappropriate conduct. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest.

LJS Chichikán will have a safe in the accommodations for the custody of valuables. The establishment is not responsible for losses or theft of valuables not deposited in said safe deposit boxes.

The activities carried out in natural environments (hiking, visits to the jungle, access to cenotes, etc.) carry inherent risks. The guest recognizes and assumes these risks, and must at all times follow the instructions of LJS Chichikán staff.

9. Responsibility of the establishment

LJS Chichikán will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its guests during their stay. However, the responsibility of the establishment is limited in the following cases:

• Robberies, accidents or damages derived from causes beyond the control of the establishment or negligence of the guest himself.
• Interruptions or alterations in the services due to causes of force majeure (extreme meteorological phenomena, power outages, health emergencies, etc.).
• Services provided by third parties (external transport, excursions or activities operated by independent suppliers), whose responsibility falls on the corresponding provider.

10. Experiences and activities

LJS Chichikán offers a catalog of experiences and activities (dinners under the stars, rituals of well-being, activities in nature, cultural visits, among others) that can be contracted during the reservation or throughout the stay, subject to availability.

The cancellation of experiences or prepaid activities will be subject to the specific conditions reported at the time of contracting. In general, the same criterion as the cancellation of accommodation policy will apply (see clause 5).

Some activities may require specific physical conditions or have age restrictions. The establishment will report these requirements in advance and reserves the right to deny participation if conditions that could pose a risk to the guest are appreciated.

11. Protection of personal data

LJS Chichikán treats the personal data of its guests in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals (LFPDPPP) of Mexico and its regulations.

The data collected during the reservation process (name, surname, email, telephone, payment data) will be used exclusively for the management of the reservation, the provision of the contracted services, the sending of communications related to the stay and, where appropriate, the sending of commercial information, if the guest You have given your express consent for it.

The owner of the data may exercise his rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO) by means of a written request addressed to reservations@ljsmx.com.

12. Intellectual property

All contents of the website www.ljschichikan.com —including, without limitation, texts, photographs, videos, logos, graphic design, source code, and trade names— are the property of LJS Chichikán or third parties that have authorized its use, and are protected by applicable legislation on intellectual and industrial property.

The reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation of said contents without prior written authorization of LJS Chichikán is expressly prohibited, except for personal and non-commercial use.

13. Cookies and use of the website

The LJS Chichikán website uses its own and third-party cookies in order to improve the browsing experience, analyze traffic and display personalized content. The user can configure his browser to reject cookies, although this could affect the functioning of certain functionalities of the site.

14. Applicable legislation and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the legislation of the United Mexican States. For the resolution of any controversy arising from its interpretation or application, the parties expressly submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Valladolid, Yucatan, renouncing any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.

15. Modifications of these Terms

LJS Chichikán reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, without the need for prior notice. The modifications will take effect from the moment of their publication on the website. Users are recommended to periodically review this document.
